Fix iCloud Sync in Flashtex
Checks to run when cards are missing on another device, and how to export decks before you reinstall.
Flashtex keeps cards on the device and syncs them through iCloud. There is no Flashtex account. If a deck is missing on another iPhone, iPad, or Mac, work through the checks below before you reinstall.
Use the same Apple Account on every device, and turn on iCloud for Flashtex itself. The first sync can take a while.
Checks that usually fix it
- Confirm the Internet connection.
- Turn on iCloud on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- Turn on iCloud Drive as well.
- Stay signed in with the same Apple Account on every device.
- Leave enough free space on the device and in iCloud.
- Restart the device.
- Force-quit Flashtex and open it again.
- Sign out of iCloud and sign back in.
- Wait. The first pass is often slower than it looks.
Before you reinstall or turn iCloud off
Export your decks first. Reinstalling without an export can drop local edits that have not finished syncing. Turning iCloud off can also remove locally stored Flashtex data until you turn it back on and the download completes.
In Settings, open iCloud Sync and use Export All Decks, or export decks as a Flashtex Deck File and import that file after you reinstall.
If cards are still missing after these steps, contact support with the devices involved and what is absent.
